Welcome to The Dachshund Retreat, located near Gorseinon, Swansea.

We offer our guests a home from home experience where your pups will have the run of our cosy home. Your dachshunds can select from cwtching on the sofa, burrowing under a blanket or curling up in a bed. Whilst in our care your dachshunds will receive constant love and attention just like our residents Slinky and Honey.

When they're are done relaxing your dachshunds will be able to have free-reign of our enclosed garden designed with your dachshunds short legs in mind. In the garden there is a ball pit, huge selection of toys, an inground trampoline and a pool offered on sunny days.

Where to find us?
I am proud to be licensed by Swansea City Council, fully insured, and trained in first aid, ensuring that your beloved pets are safe hands. Our retreat is conveniently situated just 3.5 miles from M4 junction 47, making it easily accessible for Dachshund owners across South Wales and beyond. We understand the unique needs of this wonderful breed and are to providing a welcoming and nurturing environment for your furry friends. Whether you're local or traveling from afar, we look forward to serving and your Dachshund with the utmost care and attention.
What to bring?
Please ensure your dog's regular food and treats are clearly labeled with their name and the appropriate amounts to be given. Any medications required during their stay should also be labeled their name and instructions. Additionally, you may want to bring a blanket for dachshund to provide comfort and remind them of home.
Only neutered and spayed dogs
At The Dachshund Retreat, we only accept neutered and spayed dogs to ensure the safety and happiness of all our canine guests. Chemical castration is also permitted.
Meet and greets.
A meet and greet is necessary before your initial booking. This allows me to observe your dogs and their interactions with other guests and resident dogs. It also provides you the opportunity to tour the facilities for your peace of mind.
